The National Engineers’ Council 2020 National Engineers Week Honors & Awards Banquet Hosted by
the BDB is an annual event recognizing engineers and engineering projects in all disciplines of
engineering including: aerospace; mechanical; electrical; structural; and civil. In addition to awards
ceremony, engineering companies and educational programs are present to showcase their projects
and products, most of them originating in Palm Beach County. This event provides not only recognition
to the individual engineers and educators for the contributions to the industry, but also provides an
opportunity for those not in the engineering industry to see the types of work being done in the
various disciplines of engineering right here in Palm Beach County.
The Engineers’ Council was founded in 1955 in California and has evolved into an organization
that recognizes and awards individuals throughout the country for their contributions in engineering
and education. In 2011, the Engineers’ Council established an Eastern US Awards Banquet in
West Palm Beach to honor and recognize individuals for their contributions to engineering and
engineering education in all disciplines of engineering. The BDB has hosted this event since 2014.
