Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: Annual Scholarship Breakfast
The Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County is proud to support and uplift the community through its strong partnership with the MLK Coordinating Committee of Palm Beach County. Each year, this inspirational gathering brings together business leaders, civic advocates, local residents, and youth to celebrate Dr. King’s legacy of service, justice, and economic empowerment.
Event Highlights:
Inspirational keynote speeches and community reflections.
Recognition of student achievement through oratorical arts, essay awards, and more.
Community fellowship and networking with local Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs.
Annual awards, including special honors from the Black Chamber of Commerce.
Impact & Purpose:
This breakfast is more than a commemorative event — it’s a platform for economic empowerment. The Chamber’s commitment to business development and advocacy was honored with the MLKCC Economic Empowerment Award.
It aligns with the mission of the MLK Coordinating Committee: promoting unity, education, and leadership through cultural and civic activities.
Proceeds and awareness raised go toward scholarships for local youth and support for community programs.

The MLK Coordinating Committee’s 2026 Scholarship Breakfast is scheduled for January 19, 2026, at the Palm Beach County Convention Center.
Doors open at 7:30 AM, with the program beginning at 8:00 AM.
