COVID-19 ALERT

We have taken enhanced health and safety measures to protect our venue guests. However, there is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. By entering the venue, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19, and Venue disclaims any and all liability related thereto. In accordance with the guidance and recommendations set forth by the CDC and local health officials, we respectfully request that the following guests not attend tonight’s event:

• Guests who are feeling sick or experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms (including fever, cough and shortness of breath)
• Guests who have been diagnosed with, or believe to have contracted, COVID-19, unless you have had no fever for 72 hours (without use of medicine) and 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared
• Guests who have not been fully vaccinated and have been in contact with an individual diagnosed with COVID-19 within the past 14 days

Our Commitment to Your Health & Well-being

We prioritize the health and safety of attendees, exhibitors, staff and business partners. Our team is committed to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness throughout our facility. In light of the dramatic changes to public health guidance due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have updated or enhanced many of our cleaning and safety protocols to help ensure the safety and security of everyone who walks through our doors. Current plans and protocols are outlined below. We expect to build on these plans as new information becomes available to us and as we continue preparing to reopen for meetings and events.

Cleaning & Sanitation:
- PBCCC Standards – Attendees will continue to see an enhanced cleaning presence throughout the building. Team members will disinfect high-touch areas on a routine basis.
- The Palm Beach County Convention Center is a government owned building and abides by any policies enforced within federal/government buildings. All persons accessing governmental buildings for the purposes of conducting public business, visitation, contracting and maintenance, delivery, or any other activity requiring a presence in a governmental building shall wear facial coverings as defined by the CDC at all times while present in the building. For purposes of this section, governmental buildings shall mean any Palm Beach County or municipal-owned and operated buildings including, but not limited to, office buildings, service centers, and libraries.
- Cleaning and Disinfection Accreditation – The PBCCC will maintain the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) StarTM Facility accreditation, the industry’s only outbreak prevention, response and recovery accreditation for facilities.
- Hand Sanitizing & Washing Stations – Free-standing sanitizing stations will remain in close proximity to all entry and exit points of the facility, food service areas, and employee entrances based on product availability.

Event Room/Building Capacity:
- Clients will work with their Event Manager by providing room requirements and capacity limitations will be provided.
- Identifying the number of attendees allowed in the facility for an event correlates directly with the amount of space being used and the set-up for each space.

Food & Beverage Services:
- Menus – When requested, Creative Menus featuring a wide selection of individually packaged meal options can be provided.
- Buffets – Buffets will only be single-sided and at times, may require banquet staffing.
- Concessions & Bar Service – All Cash Concessions & Bars will be required to have a separate cashier. Bartenders and Servers will not handle cash.
- All employees will follow all sanitation protocol mandated by the CDC, federal, state, and local guidelines and/or restrictions for service stations, service carts, beverage stations, counters, handrails, dining tables, bar tops, stools and chairs and trays.
- Additional guidelines for individual events will be developed in conjunction with event organizers, and at all times must comply with CDC event guidelines.

Parking Garage Procedures:
- Forms of Payment – All Pay Stations have converted to operate at “Credit Card ONLY”.
- Payment Process – Use of the self-pay stations is recommended to limit interaction between staff and guests and maximize the efficiency of the guest entrance and exit process.

PBCCC Staff Protocols:
- Wellness Screening – All team members will undergo a non-invasive wellness check prior to being granted entry into the building that will include temperature checks and screening questions.
- Employee Hygiene – Team members are required to practice frequent hand washing and/or hand sanitization after using the restroom, coughing, sneezing, touching face, eating, smoking, cleaning as part of their job function and before starting their shift or after ending a break.
- Face Coverings – Face coverings are required of every employee at all times while in the building until further notice.
